Parity for Disability – supporting people with multiple disabilities to live full and connected lives
Who we are
Parity for Disability is a local charity based in Farnborough, supporting adults with profound and multiple disabilities across Hampshire and Surrey. Established in 1991, our mission is to provide excellent services and support for people with multiple disabilities, their families and carers.
What we do
We run three specialist day services (two in Farnborough and one in Mytchett), providing the skilled staff, specialist equipment and personalised support that people need to take part in activities, develop skills, build friendships and access their local communities. We also provide music therapy, and work to promote greater accessibility and inclusion within the wider community.
Health and wellbeing are central to our work. We support people to access health services and opportunities that can improve their quality of life, while working alongside families, carers and health and social care professionals.
An achievement we’d like to shout about
There is lots for us to be proud of. In 2026, we opened our new Medway Drive Day Service in Farnborough, providing much-needed additional space and opportunities for adults with multiple disabilities and helping us respond to growing demand for specialist support.
We are also particularly proud of introducing a dedicated Health and Wellbeing Officer role. This post strengthens our focus on the health and wellbeing of the people we support, helping them to access appropriate health services, make healthier choices and ensure that their individual health needs are understood and supported. We see this as an important step in making health and wellbeing an even more integral part of our services.
