Tell us a bit about yourself:
I have been the Chief Executive of Citizens Advice Hart in North Hampshire since 2021. It is a privilege to lead this team, who dedicate themselves to providing support and solutions for individuals facing challenges in our community. I’ve always been driven by a commitment to empower everyone to have their voices heard and be treated fairly.
What are you passionate about?
I’m passionate about reducing inequality, removing barriers, and championing the rights of vulnerable people. Hether it’s through advice, group development, or partnership working, I believe in creating spaces where everyone feels supported and valued. I am an advocate for neurodiversity, also greatly supporting mental health and wellbeing. I take pride in assisting others to develop their skills, gain confidence and flourish.
Why did you want to be on the HIVCA Leadership Committee?
I was keen to join the HIVCA Leadership Committee to be an ambassador for the charity sector within the healthcare system and follow a mission to embed VCSE representation at ICB level, essentially to have a seat at the table. I am excited to be working with equally passionate leaders to effect change and strengthen collaborative system leadership to benefit our communities. We all play a vital role in improving health outcomes and addressing wider determinants of health.
